Elective classes are a fun part of the Shine experience. Electives are available to registered Shine students. Upon registration, students may choose to participate in Tuesday morning academic classes, Elective classes, or both! Students may pick and choose which electives they wish to participate in. All electives are optional.

Electives are offered on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00-3:00 and Thursday afternoons from 1:00-4:45.

Electives are taught by paid professionals in the community who are experts in their fields.

Elective teachers set the class fees for their class. These teachers graciously offer these classes to Shine students at a discounted rate. Shine families pay for their entire 12 weeks of electives at the beginning of each semester at the time of enrollment.

Some Tuesday elective classes such as tennis, gymnastics and jujitsu, require transportation to a separate location. Thursday Electives are all offered in one central location.

Parents are welcome, but not required to stay for elective classes.Elective enrollment opens twice per year (before the fall semester and before the spring semester).
